Ready-to-use office desktop

The Dell OptiPlex 7010 Mini Tower ships with Windows 10 Pro installed and a 3rd Gen Intel Core i5-3470 quad-core processor running at 3.20 GHz. It includes 32 GB of DDR3 RAM, a 512 GB SSD for the operating system and a 2 TB hard drive for bulk storage. A DVD±RW drive, USB keyboard and USB mouse complete the package for immediate deployment.

Dual-drive layout and included peripherals

The 512 GB solid-state drive provides fast boot and application launch while the 2 TB mechanical drive adds capacity for archives and media. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 2500 supports up to three displays via the available video outputs. Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi handle wired and wireless networking without extra cards. The bundled keyboard and mouse mean no separate accessory purchase is required.

Standard mini-tower installation

The chassis uses industry-standard mounting points so the motherboard, drives and expansion cards fit without modification. DDR3 memory slots accept 240-pin DIMMs only; other DDR generations will not seat correctly. The 2.5-inch SSD may need a 3.5-inch bracket if the bay lacks a dedicated tray. Windows 10 Pro activates automatically on first internet connection.

Questions about this item

Will the 32 GB DDR3 memory need to be replaced or upgraded later?

The system already holds 32 GB DDR3, the maximum supported by this configuration, so no further memory upgrade is required.

What limits performance first when the Intel Core i5-3470 runs at 3.20 GHz with Turbo up to 3.60 GHz for long periods?

The processor's four cores and 650 MHz base graphics frequency become the bottleneck before thermal throttling occurs.

How much noise and heat does the mini tower produce with the 512 GB SSD, 2 TB HDD and DVD±RW running all day?

The Gigabit Ethernet, integrated Intel HD Graphics 2500 and standard power supply keep acoustics and temperatures at typical office levels during continuous operation.
