OptiPlex 7010 Mini Tower desktop

This Dell OptiPlex 7010 Mini Tower is a desktop computer built around a 3rd Gen Intel Quad Core i7-3770 processor running at 3.40 GHz. It comes with 16 GB of DDR3 RAM and a dual-drive configuration that pairs a 2.5" 128 GB solid state drive with a 1 TB hard drive. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed and a DVD±RW drive, USB keyboard and USB mouse are included.

Suited for office tasks, not for modern gaming

The system handles everyday office applications, web browsing and multi-tasking across the three displays supported by the integrated Intel Graphics 4000. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance for current games or GPU-accelerated creative workloads should look at a different machine. The Mini Tower chassis uses DIMM 240-pin memory slots, so only DDR3 modules can be added.

16 GB DDR3 memory installed

The computer ships with 16 GB of DDR3 desktop RAM, and the platform supports a maximum of 32 GB. This capacity ceiling is the key figure to check before purchase because DDR3 is the only memory type the board accepts. If your workload requires more than 32 GB of RAM, this platform cannot meet that need.

Should I choose the 16 GB DDR3 configuration or the 32 GB DDR3 maximum for heavier multitasking?
