Dell OptiPlex 7010 Mini Tower i7-3770

This desktop computer ships new with a 3rd Gen Intel Quad Core i7-3770 running at 3.40 GHz and 16 GB of DDR3 memory. It targets office workers and home users who need a ready-to-use Windows 10 Pro system with included keyboard and mouse. The mini tower chassis fits standard desk spaces while leaving internal room for future upgrades. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 drives up to three displays for multi-monitor productivity.

128 GB SSD plus 2 TB HDD storage

The 2.5-inch 128 GB solid state drive holds the operating system and core applications for fast boot and load times. The 2 TB hard drive adds deep capacity for large document archives, media libraries or local backups. Together they cover everyday business workloads and moderate creative projects. Very large video projects or extensive game libraries will exceed the solid state portion and spill onto the mechanical drive, where access is slower.

Mini tower build considerations

The DIMM 240-pin DDR3 slots support up to 32 GB total memory if more headroom is needed later. A DVD±RW drive and Gigabit Ethernet are built in, while WiFi is included for wireless connectivity. The integrated graphics use system memory and offer no dedicated video outputs beyond what the motherboard provides. Buyers who want discrete graphics performance or more than three displays will need a compatible add-in card and sufficient power headroom.

Questions about this item

Will the DDR3 memory slots accept modules from an older system that also uses 240-pin DIMMs?

Yes, the desktop uses standard 240-pin DDR3 DIMM slots, so compatible DDR3 modules from another system will fit and work.

How can I verify the Intel HD Graphics 4000 is running at its maximum dynamic frequency of 1.15 GHz?

Open Task Manager or Intel Graphics Control Panel and check the GPU frequency while running a 3D workload; it should scale up to 1.15 GHz.

Does the box include a monitor, or do I need to buy one separately?

The system ships with a USB keyboard and mouse, but no monitor is included — you must supply your own display.
