Ready-to-use desktop for office and home

The Dell OptiPlex 7010 Mini Tower arrives with Windows 10 Pro installed and a USB keyboard and mouse in the box. A 3rd Gen Intel Core i7-3770 running at 3.40 GHz with 32 GB of DDR3 memory handles everyday multitasking. Combined storage of 1 TB SSD plus 1 TB HDD gives space for applications and archives.

DDR3 memory ceiling and integrated graphics limits

The system uses 240-pin DDR3 DIMMs and the installed 32 GB represents the maximum capacity this platform supports. Intel HD Graphics 4000 runs at a base frequency of 650 MHz up to 1.15 GHz and can drive up to three displays. No discrete graphics card is included and the integrated GPU is not suited for modern 3D workloads.

32 GB DDR3 decides fit for legacy workloads

Buyers who need more than 32 GB of system memory cannot expand this platform further. The fixed DDR3 architecture means the machine suits users tied to older software environments rather than those building a current high-performance workstation.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 32 GB DDR3 configuration or one of the smaller 8 GB or 16 GB options?

The 32 GB DDR3 configuration gives the most headroom for multitasking and large applications; the 8 GB and 16 GB versions use the same DDR3 standard but provide less capacity.

What does the i7-3770 3.40 GHz Turbo Boost up to 3.90 GHz mean for everyday workloads?

The quad-core processor runs at 3.40 GHz base and can reach 3.90 GHz on active cores, delivering strong single-thread speed for office tasks and light content creation.

How does the Intel HD Graphics 4000 with 650 MHz base and 1.15 GHz max frequency perform on the integrated video outputs?

The integrated GPU supports up to three displays via the available video ports and handles 1080p video playback and general desktop use without a discrete card.
