Dell OptiPlex 7040 Micro Desktop

The Dell OptiPlex 7040 Micro is a compact business desktop powered by a 64-bit Intel Core i5-6500T quad-core processor running at 2.5 GHz with 6 MB L3 cache. It comes with 8GB DDR4 memory, a 128GB SSD, and Windows 10 Pro pre-installed. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 530 drives one DisplayPort and one HDMI output. Gigabit Ethernet and 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi handle networking. The 65W power supply is included.

Connectivity and display requirements

This unit has no VGA or DVI ports, so older monitors will need an adapter or a special cable. Verify that your display accepts DisplayPort or HDMI input before ordering. Six USB 3.0 ports are available for peripherals. No keyboard, mouse, or monitor is included in the box. The micro form factor case uses a 65W external power supply.

Ideal for general office tasks, not heavy workloads

This desktop suits users who need a small, quiet PC for everyday business applications, web browsing, and video playback. Buyers who want more storage capacity, a discrete graphics card, or additional internal expansion slots should look at larger form factors. The integrated graphics and modest SSD limit suitability for demanding creative or engineering workloads.
