Compact Business Desktop

The Dell OptiPlex 7060 Micro is a mini PC built for office environments where desk space is limited. It ships with Windows 11 Pro installed and is powered by a 64-bit six-core Intel Core i7 8700T processor running at 2.40 GHz with 12 MB L3 cache. The system includes 8GB of DDR4 memory and a 1TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD for fast boot and application load times. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 handles display output.

Connectivity and Display Options

This unit provides one USB Type-C port and five USB 3.0 ports for peripheral connections. Video output is delivered through two DisplayPort connectors; there are no HDMI, VGA or DVI ports, so older monitors will require an adapter or active cable. Network access is available via Gigabit Ethernet and internal 802.11ac Wi-Fi. The 65W AC adapter is included, while a monitor, keyboard and mouse are not.

Form Factor Constraint

The Micro chassis is designed to fit in tight spaces such as behind a monitor or on a crowded desk, but its small size limits internal expansion. Buyers who need to add discrete graphics cards, additional storage drives or full-height PCIe cards should look at larger tower or small form factor models instead.

Questions about this item

Will the 8GB DDR4 memory need an upgrade for heavier workloads?

The system ships with 8GB DDR4; the board has two SODIMM slots supporting up to 64GB total, so you can add a matching module later without replacing the original stick.

What thermal limit appears first when the i7 8700T runs at full load continuously?

The 35W processor will hit its 100°C junction ceiling before the 65W power adapter or the micro chassis airflow become bottlenecks.

How loud is the fan and how hot does the case get during an all-day work session?

The single air cooler spins up to an audible but office-quiet level; the exterior stays warm to the touch but within safe limits for continuous operation.
