Micro workstation for business and home

The Dell OptiPlex 7060 Micro desktop fits into tight spaces while delivering a six-core Intel Core i7 8700T processor, 32GB DDR4 memory and a 512GB NVMe drive. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed, and integrated Intel UHD 630 graphics drive two DisplayPort outputs. Gigabit Ethernet and 802.11ac Wi-Fi handle wired and wireless networking.

Buyers needing legacy video outputs

This unit has no VGA, DVI or HDMI ports, so older monitors require an adapter. Integrated graphics suit office applications but cannot drive modern games or GPU-accelerated rendering workloads. The 65 W power supply and micro chassis leave no room for a dedicated graphics card. Builders who need expandable graphics or legacy display connectors should choose a larger form factor.

512 GB NVMe boot drive

The single M.2 NVMe SSD holds the operating system and primary data, delivering fast boot and application launch times. No additional storage bays are present in the micro chassis, so users requiring larger local capacity must rely on external drives or network storage.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the 35 W i7 8700T run under continuous load with the built-in air cooling?

The 35 W i7 8700T is cooled by an internal air-cooling system inside the Micro chassis; typical office workloads keep fan noise low and temperatures well within spec.

Which cables or adapters do I need to connect a monitor, given the two DisplayPort outputs and the single USB-C port?

You need a DisplayPort cable or a USB-C-to-DisplayPort/HDMI adapter; the unit has no HDMI, VGA or DVI ports.

Will my existing DDR4 SODIMMs work if I want to expand the 32 GB already installed?

The system uses DDR4 SODIMM slots; any compatible DDR4 modules can be added alongside the factory 32 GB.
