Compact business desktop for office users

The Dell Optiplex 7060 Micro delivers a 6-core Intel Core i7-8700T at 2.4 GHz with 16 GB DDR4 and a 256 GB NVMe drive. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed. The small form factor fits tight desk spaces while handling everyday productivity workloads. A keyboard and mouse are included.

Suits general office work not high-end graphics

This system suits administrators, call-centre staff and home-office users who need responsive multi-tasking with multiple browser tabs and business applications. Buyers who require discrete graphics performance for CAD rendering video editing or gaming should look elsewhere. The integrated Intel HD Graphics handles standard display output only.

256 GB NVMe drive sets storage ceiling

The single 256 GB NVMe SSD determines how much data and how many applications can reside on the machine without external storage. Users with large local datasets media libraries or multiple virtual machines will need additional drives or cloud capacity. No mechanical hard drive bay is present.

Questions about this item

How do I add more DDR4 memory to the Optiplex 7060 Micro?

Open the chassis, locate the SO-DIMM slots on the motherboard, insert each module until it clicks into the retention clips, then reassemble the case.

Which component in this Optiplex 7060 Micro is most likely to need replacement after several years of daily use?

The 256GB M.2 NVMe SSD has a finite write endurance; once its spare blocks are exhausted the drive must be replaced.

What thermal limit appears first when the i7-8700T runs at full load for extended periods in this Micro form factor?

The compact chassis and low-profile cooler cause the CPU to hit its thermal throttle point, reducing clock speeds to stay within safe temperatures.
