Ultra-compact desktop for office tasks

This Dell OptiPlex 7060 Micro fits in a 1.4-inch high chassis measuring 7.2 by 7 inches and weighs 1.2 kg. It ships with an Intel Core i7-8700T hexa-core processor, 32 GB of 2666 MHz DDR4 memory and a 1 TB Intel SSD. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 drives two DisplayPort outputs. A full-size keyboard and USB mouse are included.

Simple drop-in deployment

The unit arrives fully assembled with memory and storage already installed, so no internal work is required. Connect the 90 W power adapter, attach the supplied keyboard and mouse, plug in a monitor via DisplayPort and press the power button. Wireless setup uses Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and Bluetooth 5.0. Because the memory ceiling is 32 GB and both SO-DIMM slots are populated, any future upgrade means replacing the existing modules rather than adding to them.

Verify monitor and peripheral needs

Ensure your display has a DisplayPort input or that you have a suitable adapter for the two ports provided. The system offers five USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports and one USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port for peripherals. A single Gigabit RJ45 jack handles wired networking. No optical drive, card reader or additional video outputs are present, so plan for external solutions if those functions are required.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the Intel Core i7-8700T is reaching its 4.0 GHz turbo speed after setup?

Open Task Manager Performance tab and watch the CPU frequency climb toward 4.0 GHz while running a heavy single-thread load.

Which accessories are included and which must be purchased separately?

The box contains a full-size keyboard, USB mouse, 90 W power supply and cables; a monitor is not included and must be bought separately.

Should I choose a different memory capacity since the spec lists 32 GB DDR4 as both installed and maximum?

The system arrives with 32 GB DDR4 at 2666 MHz, which is already the 32 GB ceiling, so no larger capacity option exists for this unit.
