DELL OptiPlex 7060 SFF desktop PC i7-8700 16 GB DDR4 512 GB SSD

Compact Business Desktop

The Dell OptiPlex 7060 SFF is a small-form-factor desktop built around an 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8700 processor with six cores and twelve threads. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 512 GB 2.5-inch SSD, plus Windows 11 Pro pre-installed. A USB Wi-Fi and Bluetooth dongle, DVD-ROM drive, keyboard and mouse are included for immediate deployment.

Sustained Workload Behaviour

The 65 W hexa-core CPU can reach 4.60 GHz under Turbo Boost, but the compact chassis limits how long peak frequencies are held during continuous multi-threaded tasks. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handles standard office workloads and dual DisplayPort output without a discrete card. Thermal throttling may appear sooner than in larger towers under prolonged heavy compute.

Setup Checks Before Ordering

Verify that the SFF case fits your desk or mounting location, as internal expansion is restricted to two low-profile PCIe slots. The 240-pin DDR4 UDIMM slots support up to 32 GB total if you plan a memory upgrade. Confirm your monitors use DisplayPort or that you have suitable adapters for the available video outputs. Ensure the single 2.5-inch drive bay meets storage needs, as no 3.5-inch bay is present.
