OptiPlex 790 desktop with Core i7-2600

The Dell OptiPlex 790 is a compact business desktop powered by a quad-core Intel Core i7-2600 running at 3.40 GHz. It ships with 16 GB of DDR3 memory, a new 500 GB SSD and Windows 10 Pro 64-bit pre-installed. A DVD-RW drive, USB keyboard and mouse are included.

Suits office workers, not modern gamers

This system handles everyday productivity, web browsing and legacy business applications comfortably. Buyers who need discrete graphics for current games, video editing or multi-monitor 4K output should look elsewhere. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 2000 limits visual workloads to basic display tasks.

Verify DDR3 memory compatibility

The platform uses DDR3 memory and the installed 16 GB matches the maximum supported quantity stated in the specifications. Confirm that any future memory upgrades are DDR3 modules before purchasing. The new 500 GB SSD provides the primary storage.
