Dell OptiPlex 790 Desktop

This Dell OptiPlex 790 desktop computer is built around an Intel Quad Core i5 processor running at 2.9 GHz with a turbo up to 3.30 GHz. It includes 8 GB of DDR3 memory and a 3.5-inch 500 GB SATA hard drive. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed with a Certificate of Authenticity and restore media. The tower chassis holds a DVD-RW drive, integrated Intel HD Graphics 2000, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, plus a USB keyboard and mouse.

Home office users and students seeking

The system suits everyday office applications, web browsing and media playback thanks to the quad-core CPU and 8 GB of RAM. Integrated graphics and a single 500 GB hard drive limit performance for modern gaming, video editing or heavy multitasking. Buyers who need more memory than the 16 GB maximum, discrete graphics capability or additional internal drive bays should look at a different platform.

8 GB DDR3 memory with 16 GB maximum

The motherboard uses 240-pin DDR3 DIMM slots and supports up to 16 GB total. This capacity ceiling determines whether the machine can handle your workload or if a platform with higher memory headroom is required.
