Dell Optiplex 790 SFF Business Desktop

The Dell Optiplex 790 is a Small Form Factor desktop built for business environments. It runs Windows 10 Pro 64-bit on an Intel Core i3-2100 dual-core processor at 3.10 GHz. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 2000 drives one VGA and one DisplayPort output. The system includes 8 GB of DDR3 memory and a 120 GB SSD for the operating system and applications.

Suits Office Work Not Demanding Graphics

This PC suits offices needing a compact machine for email, documents and web-based tools. The small chassis fits tight desk spaces and provides six rear USB ports plus two front audio jacks. Buyers who want more storage than 120 GB or who need discrete graphics for design or engineering should look at something else. The DVD-ROM drive handles legacy media but cannot write discs.

120 GB SSD Capacity Decides Fit

The single 120 GB solid-state drive holds the operating system and a modest set of business programs. No additional hard drive is installed, so total internal capacity is fixed at 120 GB. If your workflow requires larger local storage for databases, media files or backups, this configuration will not meet that need.

Questions about this item

Does this Dell Optiplex 790 SFF need a separate monitor to operate?

Yes, the system has no built-in display. Connect an external monitor to the VGA or DisplayPort outputs on the rear panel.

Can I keep using my older VGA-only monitor with this desktop?

The unit provides one VGA port alongside a DisplayPort, so a legacy VGA monitor will work directly without an adapter.

How do I confirm the Intel HD Graphics 2000 is active after Windows 10 Pro boots?

Open Device Manager, expand Display adapters, and verify Intel HD Graphics 2000 appears without a warning icon.
