Small Form Factor ATX power supply delivering 235W with single-fan cooling for OptiPlex 960 and 980 desktops
This replacement power supply fits Dell OptiPlex 960 and 980 Small Form Factor desktops. It delivers a maximum output of 235W to support the original system components. The unit is supplied in new condition and matches the OEM PW116 part number.
A single internal fan manages airflow within the compact SFF chassis during normal operation. The 235W rating defines the sustained power available for the motherboard, processor and installed drives. Power draw scales with the workload of the host system.
The 235W limit determines whether this unit can support your current configuration. Systems requiring higher sustained power or additional high-draw expansion cards will exceed this capacity. Buyers needing greater wattage for upgraded components cannot use this supply.

Slide the unit into the chassis until the latch clicks, then connect the 24-pin main and 4-pin CPU cables; the step often missed is securing the retention screw that locks the PSU bracket to the case.
The single internal fan is the only moving part; expect to clean dust from its intake vents periodically and replace the entire unit if the fan fails or output voltages drift.
The 235 W maximum output power is the first limit; sustained loads near that level will trigger over-current protection and shut the unit down.
