Dell OptiPlex 980 MT Desktop

This Dell OptiPlex 980 MT is a mini-tower desktop computer powered by an Intel Core i5-650 processor running at 3.2 GHz. It comes with 4GB of DDR3 memory and a 500GB hard drive. The system arrives with Windows XP Professional 32-bit SP3 pre-installed and all drivers configured. A DVD+/-RW optical drive and six USB 2.0 ports provide basic connectivity and media support.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This desktop suits users who need a legacy Windows XP environment for specific 32-bit applications or older industrial equipment interfaces. It is not for buyers who require a supported operating system, greater memory capacity, or modern connectivity standards. Builders needing a dedicated graphics card or faster storage interfaces should consider other options.

Deciding specification: 32-bit Windows XP Pro

The pre-installed 32-bit Windows XP Professional SP3 operating system is the defining factor for this system. It limits usable memory to 4GB and restricts software compatibility to legacy 32-bit applications only. Buyers must confirm their software runs on this specific OS version before purchasing, as no upgrade path is included.
