Questions about this item

Can the 2000W hot-swap power supply be replaced without shutting down a Dell PowerEdge R630?

Yes, the unit is hot-swap ready and slides into the server chassis bay tool-free, so it can be swapped while the R630 stays running.

What limits sustained output before the protection circuits engage on the 2000W PSU?

The 2000W high-density output rating is the ceiling; built-in over-voltage, over-current and short-circuit safeguards activate if that limit is exceeded.

How loud and hot does the XYK93 get when it runs 24/7 in a PowerEdge R840?

A variable-speed fan adjusts to load and temperature, and 80 Plus Platinum efficiency (94% typical) keeps waste heat and noise lower than lower-rated units.
