Dell PowerEdge M640 blade server

The Dell PowerEdge M640 is a new blade server configured with two Intel Xeon Silver 4208 processors running at 2.1 GHz. It includes 128 GB of DDR4 memory and two 4 TB SATA drives managed by a PERC H330 controller. Remote management is provided by iDRAC9 Enterprise.

Suited for dense compute and balanced storage

This blade suits workloads that need dual-socket performance in a shared enclosure with integrated 10 GbE networking. Buyers who require more than two internal drives or a different storage interface should consider other configurations.

Dual Xeon Silver 4208 at 2.1 GHz

The pair of eight-core Xeon Silver 4208 CPUs sets the processing baseline for virtualization, database or application tiers. If the workload demands higher core counts or faster clocks, a different processor option will be needed.
