2U rack server with a six-core Xeon E5-2603 V3 at 1.6 GHz, 24 GB DDR4, three 4 TB SAS drives on an H730 RAID controller and dual 750 W redundant power supplies
Installed Memory Size 24GB
HDD 3 x 4TB SAS
This 2U rack server delivers a single Intel Xeon E5-2603 V3 six-core processor at 1.6GHz with 24GB of DDR4 memory across twelve DIMM slots. It ships with three 4TB 7.2K SAS drives managed by a Perc H730 RAID controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Dual 750W redundant power supplies and a DVD ROM complete the base configuration.
The eight 3.5-inch hot-plug bays accept SAS or SATA drives, while five PCIe slots (three 3.0 and two 2.0) provide room for additional controllers or networking cards. iDRAC8 Express offers out-of-band management. Buyers needing more than 24GB of installed memory, a second processor, or higher drive counts than the three included 4TB units should consider other configurations.
Although the platform supports up to 384GB across twelve slots, this unit arrives with 24GB already populated and no additional modules included. The single E5-2603 V3 CPU limits memory channels to one processor until a second CPU is added. Verify that 24GB meets the application requirement before purchase.

Other versions of this model
The server ships with one six-core 1.6 GHz Xeon E5-2603 V3 and supports up to two processors; adding a second doubles core count and unlocks the remaining six DIMM slots.
The installed 24 GB uses half the 12 DIMM slots, leaving room to expand up to 384 GB with 4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB or 32 GB DDR4 modules running at speeds the CPU allows.
The Perc H730 handles 12 Gbps SAS, but the supplied 7.2 K drives run at 6 Gbps, so throughput is capped at the drive speed while RAID 0/1/5/6/10/50/60 remains fully supported.
