2U rack server with dual eight-core Xeon CPUs, 32 GB DDR4, two 300 GB 15 K SAS drives and an H330 RAID controller supporting RAID 0/1/5/10/50/60
Installed Memory Size 32GB
HDD 2 x 300GB 15K
CPU Model E5-2630 V3
The Dell PowerEdge R530 is a 2U rack server built around two Intel Xeon E5-2630 V3 processors, each delivering eight cores at 2.4GHz. Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR4 memory are installed across twelve DIMM slots, with the platform supporting up to 384GB total capacity. The system targets organisations that need dense compute for virtualisation, database or general-purpose applications in a standard rack footprint.
Under continuous load the dual eight-core CPUs maintain their 2.4GHz base frequency while the two 750W hot-swap power supplies share the draw and provide failover if one unit fails. The Perc H330 RAID controller manages the two 300GB 15K SAS drives and can scale across up to eight 3.5-inch hot-plug bays with support for RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 and 60. Five PCIe slots — three at 3.0 and two at 2.0 — remain available for additional network or storage cards without interrupting operation.
Front-to-rear airflow through the 2U chassis keeps component temperatures stable while the redundant fans adjust speed to match thermal demand. Acoustic output stays within typical data-centre limits for a rackmount platform of this class. The integrated iDRAC8 with Lifecycle Controller provides out-of-band monitoring, power control and firmware updates over a dedicated management port, while the four 1GbE daughter-card ports handle production traffic.

Other versions of this model
The dual eight-core Xeon processors draw significant power under load; the two 750W redundant hot-swap units share the load so each runs at lower utilisation, keeping fan speeds and exhaust heat moderate for a 2U rack chassis.
The server ships with a power cable only; you must supply rack rails, SAS or SATA drives for the remaining six 3.5-inch hot-plug bays, and your own operating-system licence as none is included.
Yes — the chassis provides three PCIe 3.0 and two PCIe 2.0 slots, and the H330 12 Gbps controller is backward-compatible with 6 Gbps SAS and SATA drives you may already own.
