A 2U rack server with dual 10-core Xeon processors at 2.6 GHz, 768 GB DDR4 ECC memory, PERC H730 RAID controller, dual 300 GB SAS drives, quad-port 1 GbE and 10 GbE networking.
Installed Memory Size 768GB
HDD 2 x 300GB 10K SAS
The PowerEdge R730 is a 2U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon E5-2660 v3 processors, each running at 2.6 GHz with 10 cores and a 3.3 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 768 GB of DDR4 2133 MHz registered ECC memory across 24 slots, expandable to 1.5 TB. The system targets midsize and large enterprises running databases, virtual desktop infrastructure, data warehouses or high-performance computing nodes.
Eight 2.5-inch drive bays accept SAS and SATA drives behind a front bezel, with two 300 GB 10K SAS drives already installed. The Dell PERC H730 controller provides 1 GB cache and supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60 and pass-through modes. Dual 750 W platinum-efficiency power supplies are hot-swappable, and ready rails simplify rack mounting in standard enclosures.
A Dell Intel X520/I350 daughter card delivers two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ ports for flexible uplink choices. iDRAC 8 Enterprise enables out-of-band remote management, power control and virtual console access without an operating system. The bundled rails and bezel complete the physical installation, so the server is ready for integration into existing infrastructure.

Other versions of this model
The PERC H730 is a 12Gb/s SAS/SATA controller, so each drive channel tops out at 12 Gb/s regardless of the PCIe slot version.
The unit comes with Dell Ready Rails sliding rails and a front bezel for standard four-post rack installation.
Fill all twelve slots on CPU 1 first, then the twelve on CPU 2, following the DIMM sequence silk-screened on the riser boards.
