Dual Xeon 14-core 2U server

The Dell PowerEdge R730 is a 2U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon E5-2660 v4 processors running at 2.0 GHz with 14 cores each. It includes 64 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory across four 16 GB modules. The system uses a PERC H730 1 GB storage controller and eight 1.2 TB 10K SAS hard drives in 2.5-inch bays. Eight-bay 2.5-inch SAS chassis

The eight-bay 2.5-inch chassis defines the storage ceiling for this server. Only SAS or SATA drives fit the backplane and the PERC H730 controller supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. With eight 1.2 TB drives installed, raw capacity is fixed by the bay count and drive size. Any capacity increase requires larger drives or a different server model.
