A 2U rack server with 24 bays for 2.5" SATA SSDs, dual Xeon Gold 6338 32-core CPUs, 64GB DDR4 and a PERC H755 RAID controller
The PowerEdge R750 is a 2U rack server that fits 24 hot-swap 2.5-inch drives and two Xeon Gold 6338 processors into a standard cabinet. It targets organisations running databases, virtualisation clusters or analytics workloads that need dense local storage and dual-socket compute. Buyers who need 3.5-inch bays, GPU expansion slots or a single-socket platform should look elsewhere.
The storage controller manages twenty-four SATA 6 Gb/s solid-state drives with RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 support and 8 GB of battery-backed NV cache. That combination decides whether the array can deliver the throughput and redundancy your application demands. No NVMe drives are present, so workloads requiring PCIe Gen4 flash latency will need a different configuration.
Two 1400 watt platinum-efficiency power supplies share the load and allow one unit to fail without downtime. The 2U chassis uses Dell's engineered airflow to cool two 32-core CPUs, 64 GB of DDR4-3200 memory and the full drive complement at typical data-centre inlet temperatures. Acoustic output is rated for rack-row deployment rather than office proximity.

The server ships with 64 GB (4× 16 GB) of DDR4-3200 registered ECC memory installed across 32 slots, leaving room to add capacity for larger databases or virtualization clusters.
The Broadcom 57412 dual-port card provides two 10 GbE SFP+ connections through the OCP 3.0 slot for high-throughput east-west traffic.
Ready Rails and a front bezel are included for tool-less installation in a standard 2U rack enclosure.
