A 4U tower server with dual 32-core Xeon 6430 CPUs, 512 GB DDR5 memory and 7.68 TB of SAS SSD storage
The HPE ProLiant ML350 Gen11 is a 4U tower server built for hybrid environments that demand scalable compute and storage. Dual Xeon Gold 6430 processors deliver 32 cores each at 2.1 GHz with turbo up to 3.4 GHz, while 512 GB of DDR5-4800 ECC buffered memory supports large virtualized workloads and database applications. The platform integrates an MR408i-o Gen11 storage controller and embedded 4-port 1GbE networking for flexible deployment. Windows Server 2022 Standard 16-core licensing is included for immediate software readiness.
Redundant hot-swappable power supplies allow replacement of a faulty unit without taking the server offline, maintaining continuous operation for critical workloads. The tower chassis design provides airflow suited to dual 32-core processors and high-density memory configurations under sustained load. iLO 6 Standard with Intelligent Provisioning enables remote health monitoring and firmware management, reducing on-site maintenance visits. Power draw scales with processor utilisation and the four enterprise SAS SSDs installed in the drive bays.
Storage comprises four 1.92 TB enterprise 2.5-inch SAS 12 Gb/s SSDs configured for 7.68 TB total capacity, delivering consistent low-latency performance for mixed read-write workloads. The MR408i-o Gen11 controller with 4 GB cache manages RAID levels and connects via OCP SPDM for streamlined cabling. PCIe Gen5 slots support additional accelerators, network adapters, or storage controllers as requirements grow. Memory and drives ship separately and require installation before the server enters production service.

The 8 x 64GB DDR5-4800 ECC buffered modules install into the CPU DIMM slots; the four 1.92TB 2.5-inch SAS SSDs slide into the front hot-plug drive bays. The step most often missed is fully seating each DIMM until both retention clips click and inserting each SSD until the carrier latch engages.
The redundant hot-swap power supplies and the four enterprise SAS SSDs are the primary field-replaceable parts; fans and the iLO 6 management module can also be swapped without downtime.
The processors operate at a 2.1GHz base frequency with a 3.4GHz turbo ceiling; under continuous load thermal constraints will hold clocks at or near the base frequency.
