The Dell PowerEdge T430 is a 5U tower server equipped with two Intel Xeon E5-2690 v4 processors, each running at 2.6GHz with 14 cores. It ships with 256GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory across eight 32GB modules. The system includes a PERC H730P storage controller with 2GB cache and four 1.92TB SATA SSDs installed in 2.5-inch hot-swap bays. Dual 750W platinum power supplies provide redundancy.

This server suits teams running VMware ESXi, Hyper-V or Proxmox VE who need local capacity for virtual machines, databases or backup targets. The 16-bay chassis supports SAS, SATA and SSD drives for flexible storage layouts. Organisations requiring dedicated graphics acceleration or larger memory configurations beyond 384GB should evaluate alternative platforms. 16-bay 2.5-inch hot-swap capacity

The chassis provides sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap drive bays connected to the H730P controller, enabling RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through modes. Four 1.92TB enterprise SATA SSDs are already installed, leaving twelve bays free for expansion. This bay count and controller combination determines how much local storage can be added without external enclosures.
