A 5U tower server with dual 12-core Xeon processors at 2.2GHz, 256GB DDR4, a H730P RAID controller and four 960GB SATA SSDs across 16 hot-swap bays
The Dell PowerEdge T430 is a 5U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon E5-2650 v4 processors, each running at 2.2GHz with a 2.9GHz turbo and 12 cores. The system ships with 256GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory across eight 32GB modules. It targets businesses that need dependable compute for virtualization, database hosting, or file services without requiring the newest processor generation.
Installed memory sits at 256GB using eight of the 12 available DDR4 slots, leaving room to reach the 384GB maximum. The PERC H730P controller with 2GB cache supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode. Four 960GB SATA SSDs are included, and the chassis provides 16 hot-swap 2.5-inch bays for further SAS or SATA expansion.
Dual 750W platinum-efficiency power supplies deliver hot-swap redundancy for continuous uptime. Integrated iDRAC 8 Express enables remote management and lifecycle control over the network. Two onboard Gigabit Ethernet ports handle basic connectivity, while PCI Express slots remain open for additional networking or storage cards. Front bezel and ready rails are not included.

The server uses dual LGA 2011 sockets with two 12-core E5-2650 v4 processors and 256 GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory across 12 slots; it is a complete system, not a component upgrade for another board.
Use the iDRAC 8 Express interface to check controller firmware, battery status, and each SSD’s SMART data; the H730P BIOS utility also reports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60 arrays and drive health.
The supplier notes that the front bezel and ready rails are not included; the four 960 GB SATA SSDs ship installed in drive caddies, and the 16-bay chassis accepts additional 2.5-inch SAS or SATA drives with their own caddies.
