A 5U rack server with dual 14-core Xeon processors at 2.6GHz, 32GB DDR4, PERC H330 controller and four 1.92TB SATA SSDs for virtualization and storage workloads
This Dell PowerEdge T430 is a 5U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon E5-2690 v4 processors. Each CPU provides 14 cores at 2.6 GHz with a 3.5 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a PERC H330 storage controller managing four 1.92 TB SATA solid-state drives. Dual 750 W redundant power supplies support continuous operation.
The dual 14-core configuration and 384 GB maximum memory capacity make this platform suitable for VMware ESXi, Hyper-V or Proxmox VE virtualization, Microsoft SQL Server databases and file storage roles. Sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap bays allow storage expansion using SAS or SATA drives. Organisations needing more than two processor sockets, GPU-accelerated compute or memory beyond 384 GB should evaluate other platforms.
The installed Dell PERC H330 12 Gb/s SAS/SATA controller manages the four 1.92 TB SATA 6 Gb/s 2.5-inch enterprise SSDs. Twelve DDR4 slots are populated with four 8 GB modules, leaving eight slots free for expansion up to the 384 GB limit. Integrated dual-port Gigabit Ethernet and iDRAC 8 Express provide network connectivity and remote management.

The chassis has sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap drive bays that accept SAS, SATA and SSD storage, and four 1.92TB SATA SSDs are already installed.
Both LGA 2011 sockets are populated with the 14-core 2.6GHz CPUs, and the 32GB ships as four 8GB DDR4-2400 ECC registered DIMMs; the step often missed is seating each DIMM until the ejector clips click to ensure ECC operation.
The 2.5-inch drive bays, both 750W platinum power supplies and the PERC H330 controller support hot-swap replacement, while the CPUs and memory require a controlled shutdown.
