This new DELL PowerEdge T440 is a 5U rack server system built for enterprise workloads. It ships with two Intel Xeon Silver 4210 processors, each running at 2.2GHz with a 3.2GHz turbo frequency and 10 cores. The system includes 16GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory and a Dell PERC H330 storage controller. Dual 750W platinum power supplies provide redundant hot-swap power.

Suits virtualization, databases, and file storage

The 16-bay 2.5-inch hot-swap chassis supports SAS and SATA drives for flexible storage capacity. Integrated dual-port Gigabit Ethernet and iDRAC 9 Express remote management simplify deployment and monitoring. Buyers who need more than 1TB of memory, more than two processors, or installed drives should look elsewhere. The front bezel and ready rails are not included with this unit.

Two Xeon Silver 4210 CPUs installed

The server arrives with the maximum of two processors already installed in the LGA 3647 sockets. Sixteen memory slots allow expansion up to 1TB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered DIMMs. Four 2.5-inch drive trays are included to populate a portion of the 16 available bays.
