Questions about this item

Will the SAS to Mini-SAS cable RM255 connect my existing PowerEdge T610 backplane to a newer SAS controller?

The cable is built for the PowerEdge T610 and carries the SAS signals between the system board and the backplane, so it will link your existing backplane to any SAS controller that uses the same Mini-SAS pin-out.

How can I verify the RM255 cable is seated correctly after installation?

After fitting the cable, the PowerEdge T610 BIOS should detect all attached SAS drives on the backplane and the system should complete POST without drive errors.
