Dell Precision 3551 15.6" Core i7 8GB 128GB SSD Quadro P620 laptop

Mobile workstation for entry-level CAD

The Dell Precision 3551 pairs a 10th generation Core i7 running at 2.60GHz with a Quadro P620 graphics card. Eight gigabytes of memory and a 128GB solid-state drive handle 2D drafting and light 3D models. Windows 11 Pro ships pre-installed on a 15.6 inch 1366 x 768 display.

Display and storage ceiling

The 1366 x 768 panel limits on-screen detail for complex assemblies or multi-window workflows. SSD capacity may arrive between 120GB and 128GB, leaving little room for large datasets or local render caches. Two memory slots exist, but only 8GB is fitted from the factory.

Steps up from integrated graphics and hard drives

This unit replaces laptops that rely on integrated graphics or mechanical drives, delivering certified drivers and faster boot times. The jump is worthwhile when ISV-certified stability matters more than screen resolution or raw GPU memory. Buyers who need a higher-resolution panel or more than 128GB of local storage should look elsewhere.
