Dell Precision 3650 Workstation

The Dell Precision 3650 is a mid-tower workstation built for professionals who need reliable performance in CAD, 3D modelling, engineering and content creation. It ships new with Windows 11 Pro, 128GB of DDR4 memory and a 2TB NVMe SSD, ready for demanding production tasks.

Nvidia Quadro P2200 5GB Graphics

The single specification that decides fit is the Nvidia Quadro P2200 with 5GB GDDR5 memory on a 160-bit bus and four DisplayPort 1.4 outputs. This professional GPU targets certified stability in design and engineering applications rather than high-frame-rate gaming or heavy GPU compute workloads.

128GB DDR4 at Maximum Capacity

The system arrives with 128GB (4×32GB) DDR4 3200MHz memory, which matches the platform maximum of 128GB. This capacity comfortably handles large assemblies, multi-application workflows and sizable datasets, but leaves no headroom for future memory upgrades beyond the installed configuration.

Questions about this item

What does the 5.0 GHz turbo figure mean when the i7-11700K is inside the Precision 3650?

The 5.0 GHz turbo is the maximum single-core frequency the processor can reach under load, limited by the 460 W power supply and the mid-tower cooling capacity.

What does the PCIe 1.4 DisplayPort limit in practice for the Quadro P2200?

DisplayPort 1.4 caps each of the four outputs at 8K 60 Hz or 4K 120 Hz, so multi-monitor setups stay within that bandwidth ceiling.

What clearance does the mid-tower chassis give for the graphics card and power supply?

The chassis accepts a dual-slot card like the Quadro P2200 and houses the 460 W 80PLUS Gold supply in a fixed bay, leaving no room for longer or wider add-in cards.
