Precision 3650 workstation for professional

The Dell Precision 3650 is a mid-tower desktop workstation built for engineers, designers and analysts who need reliable performance for CAD, 3D modelling and data-intensive applications. It ships new with Windows 11 Pro, an 8-core Intel Core i7-11700K processor reaching 5.0GHz turbo, 64GB of DDR4 3200 memory and a 4TB PCIe NVMe SSD. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 drives two DisplayPort outputs for dual-monitor setups.

Suits single-threaded professional apps.

This configuration suits professionals whose workflows rely on strong single-thread CPU performance and large local storage, such as financial modelling, software compilation or light content creation. The 460W 80PLUS Gold power supply and integrated graphics limit the system for users who need dedicated GPU acceleration for rendering, simulation or machine-learning workloads. Buyers requiring ECC memory error correction or Xeon-class reliability features should evaluate alternative configurations.

4TB NVMe SSD decides storage capacity fit

The single 4TB PCIe NVMe drive provides the total high-speed storage available out of the box; there is no secondary hard drive installed. Memory can be expanded to 128GB using the four DDR4 slots, and the LGA 1200 socket supports compatible 11th-generation Intel processors. Buyers who need more than 4TB of fast storage or a discrete graphics card must plan upgrades around the 460W power budget and mid-tower form factor.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the 460 W 80PLUS Gold power supply get under continuous load?

The 460 W 80PLUS Gold unit is rated for high efficiency, which reduces waste heat and keeps fan speeds lower during extended workstation workloads.

Does the Intel UHD Graphics 630 with dual DisplayPort outputs require a separate monitor cable purchase?

The workstation provides two DisplayPort connectors; you will need DisplayPort cables or adapters compatible with your chosen monitors.

Can I keep my existing DDR4 3200 memory modules and add them to the four populated slots?

All four DIMM slots are filled with 16 GB modules totalling 64 GB; the board supports up to 128 GB, so adding more would require replacing existing sticks.
