Dell Precision 5510 mobile workstation

The Dell Precision 5510 is a 15.6-inch mobile workstation built around a 2.70GHz Intel Core i7 6820HQ quad-core processor. It ships with 8GB of memory and a 512GB solid-state drive. Windows 10 Pro comes pre-installed. The non-touch display delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution in a thin chassis.

Buyers needing more memory

This configuration suits engineers, designers and analysts who rely on the NVIDIA M1200M 4G graphics card for certified driver stability in CAD or 3D applications. The backlit keyboard and 802.11b/g/n wireless support mobile workflows. Buyers needing more than 8GB of memory or a larger solid-state drive should look elsewhere.

Quad-core 2.70GHz i7 6820HQ processor

The quad-core 2.70GHz Intel Core i7 6820HQ processor is the specification that defines this laptop's compute tier. It delivers four cores at a base frequency of 2.70GHz for multi-threaded workloads. Pair it with the discrete M1200M GPU for hardware-accelerated viewport performance. Verify that the 8GB memory ceiling meets your application requirements.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the Intel Core i7 6820HQ processor is running at its 2.70GHz base speed after setup?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab, and watch the CPU clock settle at 2.70GHz while idle; the quad-core chip should show four logical processors active.

Which accessories are included in the box and which must be purchased separately?

The laptop ships with its 90-day warranty documentation and a power adapter; a carrying case, external mouse or additional USB-C hub are not included.

Should I choose the 8GB memory with 512GB SSD configuration or look for a higher-capacity version?

This listing is for the single 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD model; if you need more memory or storage, a different SKU would be required.
