Precision 5530 mobile workstation

The Dell Precision 5530 is a 15.6-inch mobile workstation built around an 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8850H six-core processor. It combines a UHD 3840 x 2160 IPS touch display with a dedicated NVIDIA Quadro P1000 graphics card carrying 4GB GDDR5 memory. The system ships with 16GB DDR4 RAM and dual storage comprising a 128GB M.2 drive plus a 4TB SSD, running Windows 11 Pro.

Suited for colour-critical touch workflows

Creative professionals who need accurate on-screen colour and direct pen or finger input will benefit from the 72% colour-gamut UHD touch panel and ISV-certified Quadro drivers. Buyers who require a larger colour volume, higher GPU compute performance or user-replaceable memory modules should consider alternative configurations.

3840 x 2160 touch display

The defining specification is the 15.6-inch 3840 x 2160 IPS multi-touch screen with 72% colour gamut coverage. This resolution and touch layer determine whether the chassis meets the visual fidelity and interaction demands of professional design, engineering review or field annotation tasks.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 128 GB M.2 plus 4 TB SSD or a different capacity?

This unit ships with a 128 GB M.2 drive and a 4 TB SSD already installed, giving two separate volumes for OS and data.

What does the 3840 x 2160 UHD touchscreen mean for daily work?

The 15.6 inch IPS panel shows 3840 by 2160 pixels with multi-touch, so text stays sharp at scaling and colour covers 72 % gamut.

What can the Thunderbolt 3 port actually drive?

Thunderbolt 3 provides four lanes of PCIe plus DisplayPort, so you can run two 4K monitors or one 5K display and attach fast external storage.
