Dell Precision 5560 mobile workstation

The Dell Precision 5560 is a 15.6-inch mobile workstation built around an Intel Xeon processor running at a minimum 2.60 GHz. It ships with 8 GB of memory, a 1 TB SSD and an NVIDIA RTX A2000 dedicated GPU. A 3840 x 2400 UHD display and Windows 11 Pro complete the configuration for professional content creation and engineering tasks.

Memory slots and cosmetic condition

The system provides two memory slots in total with 8 GB currently installed, so capacity can be increased if the workload demands it. The unit is professionally reconditioned and rated in fair cosmetic condition; expect moderate scratches or scuffs on the bezel and casing, wear on the keyboard and trackpad, and possibly missing expansion or SD slot covers. The screen may show up to two minor imperfections such as light scratches, dead pixels or small bruises.

Suited for ISV workloads on a reconditioned budget

This workstation suits buyers who need certified ISV performance from a Xeon CPU and RTX A2000 graphics in a 15.6-inch UHD form factor while accepting a reconditioned chassis with visible wear. It is not for users who require a pristine new appearance, a backlit keyboard, more than 8 GB of memory out of the box, or a larger colour-accurate display than the built-in panel provides.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the Precision 5560 and what must I buy separately?

The laptop ships with the 15.6 inch UHD screen, Intel Xeon processor, 8GB memory, 1 TB SSD and Windows 11 Pro installed. No optical drive, no backlit keyboard and no expansion slot covers are included; extra memory modules or replacement covers must be purchased separately.

Which memory and storage configuration should I choose for this Xeon model?

Only the listed 8GB RAM and 1 TB SSD are available for this unit. The chassis has two memory slots so you can add a second module later, but no other factory capacity options exist.

What does the 3840 x 2400 UHD resolution mean for daily work on the RTX A2000?

The 4K panel shows four times the detail of Full HD, giving sharp text and precise colour for CAD or video editing, while the RTX A2000 GPU drives the native 3840 x 2400 resolution smoothly in professional applications.
