Workstation for multi-threaded workloads

The Dell Precision 5820 Tower combines a six-core Intel Xeon W-2133 processor running at 3.6 GHz with a 3.9 GHz turbo frequency and 128 GB of DDR4 2666 ECC memory. A 2 TB PCIe NVMe drive provides fast primary storage. The NVIDIA Quadro P2000 adds 5 GB of GDDR5 memory and four DisplayPort outputs for multi-monitor configurations.

Sustained performance with 950 W Gold supply

The 950 W 80 Plus Gold power supply delivers 90 % efficiency under continuous load, supporting the CPU, memory and GPU during extended compute or rendering sessions. Registered ECC memory helps maintain data integrity across long runs. The Intel i219 Gigabit Ethernet controller provides a stable wired network link for uninterrupted data transfer.

Mid-tower chassis with quad DisplayPort

The black mid-tower form factor houses eight DDR4 slots, allowing expansion up to 256 GB of memory. The Quadro P2000 occupies a single slot and drives up to four displays via its 160-bit GDDR5 interface. Integrated Realtek ALC3234 high-definition audio handles onboard sound without an add-in card. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and digitally activated.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the 950 W 80 Plus Gold power supply get when the Xeon W-2133 and Quadro P2000 run all day?

The 950 W 80 Plus Gold unit runs at 90 % efficiency, so waste heat is low; fan speed stays quiet under sustained Xeon W-2133 and Quadro P2000 loads.

What must I already own to start working, since no monitor is included?

You need a DisplayPort-capable monitor, keyboard and mouse; the Quadro P2000 provides four DisplayPort outputs for up to four screens.

Will my older DDR4 2666 ECC modules work alongside the four 32 GB sticks already installed?

Yes — the board has eight DDR4 slots supporting 2666 MHz registered ECC; you can add up to 256 GB total using matching modules.
