Precision 5820 Tower Xeon Workstation

The Dell Precision 5820 is a mid-tower desktop built around an Intel Xeon W-2225 processor running at 4.1 GHz with a 4.6 GHz turbo boost across four cores. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 2666 MHz registered ECC memory and a 2 TB PCIe NVMe solid-state drive. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and the unit is new without a monitor.

32 GB DDR4 ECC and 2 TB NVMe Capacity

Four 8 GB modules fill four of the eight available slots, leaving room to expand toward the 256 GB maximum supported memory. The single 2 TB NVMe drive provides fast boot and project storage, though heavy multi-terabyte datasets will require additional drives. ECC memory protects data integrity for long compute jobs.

Quadro RTX 6000 24 GB GDDR6 Display Outputs

The Nvidia Quadro RTX 6000 adds 24 GB of GDDR6 memory on a 384-bit bus and drives up to four DisplayPort 1.4 monitors plus one USB-C display. A 950 W 80 Plus Gold power supply delivers 90 percent efficiency for the combined CPU and GPU load. Gigabit Ethernet and integrated Realtek audio complete the I/O.

Questions about this item

Will my existing DDR4 2666 ECC modules work with the four open slots on this Precision 5820?

Yes, the tower has eight DDR4 2666 slots total and four are already populated with 8 GB registered ECC modules, leaving four slots free for identical memory.

How can I verify the Quadro RTX 6000 is running at full 24 GB GDDR6 capacity after installation?

Open Windows Device Manager or the NVIDIA control panel; the adapter entry will show 24 GB GDDR6 memory and a 384-bit bus width for the RTX 6000.

Does the box include the 950 W 80 Plus Gold power supply and all cables needed for the RTX 6000, or must I buy them separately?

The 950 W 80 Plus Gold unit is factory-installed with the necessary PCIe power connectors for the Quadro RTX 6000; no extra cables are required.
