Precision 5820 tower workstation

The Dell Precision 5820 Tower is a mid-tower desktop built for professional workloads. It ships with an Intel Xeon W-2255 10-core processor running at 3.7GHz with a 4.7GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 128GB of DDR4 2933MHz registered ECC memory across four 32GB modules. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and digitally activated.

128GB DDR4 ECC and 500GB NVMe

Memory capacity reaches 128GB with four slots still free for expansion up to the 256GB maximum supported by the platform. The 500GB PCIe NVMe solid-state drive provides fast boot and application loading. Storage headroom ends at the single M.2 slot unless additional drives are added via internal bays not described in the specifications.

Quadro P600 graphics and 950W power

An Nvidia Quadro P600 card with 2GB GDDR5 memory drives up to four DisplayPort monitors for multi-display productivity. The 950-watt 80 Plus Gold power supply delivers 90% efficiency to support the processor, memory and graphics card. Integrated Gigabit Ethernet and high-definition audio handle networking and sound without extra cards.

Questions about this item

Will the LGA 2066 Xeon W-2255 fit in my existing Precision 5820 motherboard?

Yes — the Precision 5820 uses the LGA 2066 socket, so the Xeon W-2255 installs directly without a board change.

How can I confirm the 128GB DDR4 2933 ECC memory is running at full speed after first boot?

Open Task Manager → Performance → Memory and verify the speed reads 2933 MHz and the total shows 128 GB.

Does the box include the 950 W 80 Plus Gold power supply and the Quadro P600 with four DisplayPort outputs?

Yes — the tower ships with the 950 W Gold PSU and the Quadro P600 (2 GB GDDR5, four DisplayPort) already installed.
