Dell Precision 7510 mobile workstation

The Dell Precision 7510 is a 15.6 inch mobile workstation powered by an Intel Core i7-6820HQ processor running at 2.70 GHz. It comes with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB SSD. Graphics are handled by an NVIDIA Quadro M1000M with 2 GB of GDDR5 dedicated video memory. The 1920 x 1080 anti-glare display covers 45 percent color gamut. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed.

Suited for ISV-certified apps.

This system suits engineers and designers who need ISV-certified stability for CAD, CAE or 3D modelling on the move. The Quadro driver stack and 16 GB memory handle assemblies and simulations reliably. Buyers who need a wider colour gamut for colour-critical imaging or video grading should look elsewhere. The 45 percent gamut panel and 2 GB video memory also limit modern real-time rendering workloads.

Quadro M1000M 2 GB GDDR5 decides fit

The NVIDIA Quadro M1000M with 2 GB GDDR5 is the specification that determines whether this laptop fits your workflow. It delivers certified OpenGL performance for professional applications but lacks the frame buffer for large textures or GPU compute tasks. If your models and datasets exceed 2 GB video memory, this GPU will become the bottleneck.

Questions about this item

Does the laptop include both an M.2 PCIe SSD and a 2.5" SATA drive, or do I need to buy the second drive separately?

The system ships with one 256 GB M.2 PCIe SSD installed; the second M.2 PCIe/2.5" SATA slot is empty and a drive must be purchased separately.

Should I choose the 16 GB DDR4 configuration or upgrade toward the 64 GB maximum?

The unit comes with 16 GB DDR4 across four slots; adding modules up to the 64 GB limit is only necessary for heavy multi-application workloads.

What does the 2 GB GDDR5 Quadro M1000M deliver for 1920 x 1080 CAD viewports?

The 2 GB dedicated GDDR5 frame buffer handles 15.6" FHD assemblies and moderate 3D models smoothly within ISV-certified drivers.
