Precision 7530 workstation mobile

The Precision 7530 is a 15.6 inch mobile workstation built around an Intel Core i7 8th Gen processor running at 2.20 GHz. It comes with 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB solid state drive. The NVIDIA Quadro P1000 provides 4 GB of GDDR5 dedicated video memory for professional graphics workloads. Windows 10 Pro 64 bit is pre installed.

Sustained load behaviour

The six core processor maintains 2.20 GHz base frequency across extended compute sessions. The Quadro P1000 with 4 GB GDDR5 delivers stable frame rates in CAD and 3D modelling tasks without thermal throttling. Dual Thunderbolt 3 type C ports support external GPU enclosures for heavier rendering pipelines. The 42 percent colour gamut screen limits colour critical work to external displays.

Build quality and daily connectivity

The black chassis weighs 5.5700 and measures .980 by 9.890 by 13.290 inches. Two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports with PowerShare charge peripherals while the system sleeps. Mini DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 drive two external monitors simultaneously. An SD card reader, Ethernet jack, smartcard reader and headphone socket cover legacy and security needs. Four memory slots allow expansion to 64 GB DDR4.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the Precision 7530 get when the Core i7-8750H and Quadro P1000 run all day?

The 15.6 inch chassis uses dual fans to cool the 2.20 GHz six-core processor and 4 GB GDDR5 graphics; sustained loads raise keyboard deck temperature but fan noise stays at office-background level.

What must I already own to use the Thunderbolt 3 ports on this laptop?

Any Thunderbolt 3 peripheral or cable with a USB-C connector works directly; the two type-C ports also carry DisplayPort 1.4 video and PowerShare charging for phones.

Will my older mini DisplayPort 1.2 monitor work with the Precision 7530?

Yes — the mini DisplayPort 1.4 output is backward compatible, so a 1.2 screen runs at its native 1920 x 1080 resolution without adapters.
