Precision 7560 mobile workstation

The Dell Precision 7560 is a 15.6 inch mobile workstation powered by an 8-core Intel Core i7-11800H processor reaching 4.6 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 32 GB of memory and a 1 TB solid-state drive running Windows 10 Pro. The NVIDIA T1200 dedicated graphics card drives the non-touch FHD display at 1920 x 1080 resolution.

Suited for professional CAD and content creation

Engineers and designers who need certified application stability on a portable 15.6 inch chassis will benefit from the eight-core CPU and dedicated GPU combination. Buyers who require a touchscreen display or higher-resolution panel should look elsewhere, as this model uses a standard non-touch FHD screen.

Thunderbolt 4 connectivity and port selection

Two USB Type-C ports support Thunderbolt 4.0 for high-speed peripherals and external displays. Additional interfaces include two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports with PowerShare, HDMI 2.1, Mini DisplayPort 1.4, RJ-45 Ethernet, an SD-card slot and a headphone jack.

Questions about this item

How does the 4.6 GHz turbo speed behave when all eight cores are under sustained load?

The 4.6 GHz figure is a single-core turbo frequency; under sustained multi-core workloads the processor will run at lower clocks to stay within its thermal envelope.

What display outputs can the two Thunderbolt 4.0 ports drive in addition to the HDMI 2.1 and Mini DP 1.4 connectors?

Each Thunderbolt 4.0 port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode, so you can connect up to two more external monitors through USB-C docks or adapters.

Will the 27.36 mm rear height clear a standard laptop sleeve or backpack compartment?

At 27.36 mm thick and 2.45 kg, the chassis fits most 15.6-inch sleeves, but check your bag's internal depth before buying.
