Precision 7670 mobile workstation

The Dell Precision 7670 is a 16-inch mobile workstation built for professionals who need certified application performance on the move. It combines a 16-core Intel Core i7-12850HX processor with 32GB of memory and a 2TB SSD. A dedicated NVIDIA RTX A3000 GPU with 6GB GDDR6 handles 3D rendering, simulation and GPU-accelerated workloads. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed.

Suited for engineering and content creation

This configuration suits engineers, designers and analysts who run CAD, CAE or video-editing applications that benefit from workstation-class graphics and ECC-capable memory architecture. The non-touch FHD+ display and fixed 32GB memory mean buyers who need pen input, user-upgradeable RAM or a smaller footprint should look at other form factors.

RTX A3000 6GB GDDR6 discrete GPU

The single specification that decides fit is the NVIDIA RTX A3000 with 6GB GDDR6 memory. It provides ISV-certified drivers and enough frame-buffer for medium-sized assemblies, GPU rendering and compute tasks; workflows that regularly exceed 6GB of VRAM will require a higher-tier mobile GPU or a desktop alternative.

Questions about this item

Will my existing 16.0-inch FHD+ dock station work with the Precision 7670's display output?

The Precision 7670 has a 16.0-inch 1920 x 1200 non-touch screen and a dedicated RTX A3000 with 6GB GDDR6, so any dock that supports that resolution over its video ports will drive the external display correctly.

Can I keep using my older 802.11ac router with this laptop's wireless card?

Yes, the laptop includes 802.11ac WLAN and Bluetooth, so it will connect to your existing 802.11ac router at its rated speeds without any extra hardware.

How can I confirm the RTX A3000 is using its 6GB GDDR6 memory after I install Windows 11 Pro?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab, choose GPU 1, and verify that Dedicated GPU Memory shows 6GB and Driver Type lists the NVIDIA RTX A3000.
