16.0" WUXGA Workstation

The Dell Precision 7670 is a 16.0-inch mobile workstation running Windows 11 Pro. It pairs a 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12850HX processor with an NVIDIA RTX A3000 12GB GDDR6 dedicated GPU. The system includes 64GB DDR5 memory and a 2x2TB PCIe NVMe SSD array configured in RAID 1 for 2TB usable capacity.

Engineers needing mirrored storage

This laptop suits professionals who require hardware-mirrored local storage for data integrity on the move. The 60Hz non-touch WUXGA panel and single Thunderbolt 4 pair limit users who need high-refresh displays or three-plus external 4K monitors. Buyers who want more storage than the 2TB mirrored volume should look at something else.

RAID 1 2x2TB NVMe array

The defining specification is the dual 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD set in RAID 1, presenting 2TB of usable space with real-time redundancy. This configuration protects active projects against a single drive failure without halting work. Verify that 2TB usable capacity meets project requirements before purchase.

Questions about this item

Will the Thunderbolt 4 ports let me keep using my existing Thunderbolt 3 dock and external drives?

Yes, the two Thunderbolt 4 ports are backward compatible with Thunderbolt 3 devices, so your current dock and drives will work without adapters.

How can I confirm the RAID 1 array is healthy and the RTX A3000 is active after I receive the laptop?

Open Intel VMD or the BIOS storage menu to verify the RAID 1 status shows normal, then check Device Manager or NVIDIA Control Panel to see the RTX A3000 12 GB GDDR6 listed as the dedicated GPU.

Does the box include a Thunderbolt 4 cable for the dock, or do I need to buy one separately?

The 240 W power adapter and standard accessories are included; a Thunderbolt 4 cable for docking is not supplied and must be purchased separately.
