Mobile workstation for CAD and rendering

The Dell Precision 7730 is a 17.3 inch mobile workstation built around an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8750H six-core processor and an NVIDIA Quadro P3200 graphics card with 6GB GDDR5 memory. It targets engineers and designers who need certified drivers for professional 3D applications. The system ships with Windows 10 Pro, 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 512GB NVMe SSD.

Silver chassis with Thunderbolt 3 and HDMI 2.0

The silver chassis houses a non-touch 1920 x 1080 IPS panel covering 72% colour gamut. Daily connectivity relies on two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, one Thunderbolt 3 port and one HDMI 2.0 output for external displays. A headphone and microphone combo jack handles audio. The Quadro P3200 is optimised for CAD workloads and offers performance comparable to a GeForce GTX 1060.

Check power adapter and memory ceiling before

The unit includes a Dell AC adapter; verify the wattage matches your regional mains requirement. Memory is expandable up to 128GB of DDR4, so confirm the current 16GB configuration meets your project needs. Storage uses an M.2 slot; ensure any additional drive you plan to install uses the NVMe protocol supported by this platform.
