Precision 7750 Mobile Workstation

The Dell Precision 7750 is a 17.3-inch mobile workstation built for engineers and designers who need ISV-certified stability. It pairs a six-core Intel Core i7-10850H processor with 32 GB of memory and a 1 TB SSD. The NVIDIA Quadro RTX 3000 GPU provides dedicated graphics power for 3D modelling, rendering and simulation workloads.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Under continuous load the six-core Coffee Lake CPU operates at a 2.7 GHz base frequency and can reach 5.1 GHz with Turbo Boost. The Quadro RTX 3000 maintains stable clock speeds during extended render jobs thanks to the Precision cooling architecture. Thunderbolt 3 ports allow high-speed external storage or GPU enclosures without throttling the internal PCIe lanes.

Thermals Noise and Power

The chassis measures 1.14 inches high and weighs 6.65 lbs, providing enough thermal mass for the dual-fan layout to manage CPU and GPU heat. Fan noise remains at a moderate level during typical CAD sessions and rises only during peak GPU compute. The 1920 x 1080 FHD non-touch display draws minimal power, helping the system sustain performance on the supplied adapter.

Questions about this item

How hot and loud does the Precision 7750 get when the i7-10850H runs at 5.1 GHz all day?

The six-core Coffee Lake processor reaches 5.0 GHz turbo while the Quadro RTX 3000 handles graphics load; Dell's thermal design manages heat through the 28.9 mm chassis during sustained workloads.

Which cables and peripherals must I already own to use the two Thunderbolt 3 Type-C ports and Mini DP 1.4?

You need Thunderbolt 3 or USB-C cables for the two Type-C ports, a Mini DisplayPort 1.4 cable for the Mini DP output, and an HDMI 2.0 cable for the HDMI port.

Will the RTX 3000 6 GB GPU work with my older USB 3.0 docking station and 1080p monitors?

Yes, the two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports with Powershare and the HDMI 2.0 output connect directly to USB 3.0 docks and 1920 x 1080 displays without adapters.
