Precision 7760 workstation laptop

The Dell Precision 7760 is a 17.3 inch mobile workstation built around an Intel Core i7-11850H processor with 6 cores and a 4.80 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a 512 GB NVMe SSD running Windows 11 Pro. An NVIDIA RTX A3000 GPU with 6 GB of GDDR6 memory handles graphics workloads on a 1920 x 1080 FHD display at 60 Hz.

Suits CAD and rendering professionals.

This machine targets engineers, designers and analysts who need certified drivers and a large colour-accurate screen for 3D modelling, simulation or video editing. Thunderbolt 4 ports and HDMI 2.1 allow multi-monitor docks. Buyers who want a lightweight device for travel or all-day battery operation should look elsewhere because the 17.3 inch chassis and high-performance parts make it heavier and less power-efficient than ultraportable alternatives.

RTX A3000 6 GB GDDR6 decides fit

The professional NVIDIA RTX A3000 with 6 GB of GDDR6 memory is the single specification that determines whether this laptop matches your workload. It provides certified drivers for ISV applications and enough video memory for medium-sized assemblies and GPU-accelerated rendering. If your projects regularly exceed 6 GB of VRAM or require double-precision compute, you will need a workstation with a higher-tier GPU.

Questions about this item

Can the 512 GB NVMe SSD be upgraded later?

The laptop uses an M.2 NVMe slot so the 512 GB drive can be replaced with a larger NVMe module when more storage is needed.

Which component hits its thermal limit first during long rendering sessions?

The Intel Core i7-11850H and RTX A3000 share a cooling system; under sustained load the GPU’s 6 GB GDDR6 memory and the CPU’s 4.80 GHz turbo ceiling are the first to throttle.

How loud do the fans get when the RTX A3000 runs at full load all day?

The dual-fan thermal design ramps up to keep the 6 GB GDDR6 GPU and 4.80 GHz CPU within limits, producing noticeable but not extreme airflow noise during continuous heavy workloads.
