Dual Xeon Gold 5122 workstation with 1536GB DDR4 ECC memory, 250GB NVMe SSD and Radeon Pro WX 7100 8GB graphics for certified AutoCAD performance
The Dell Precision 7920 tower ships new with two Intel Xeon Gold 5122 processors running at 3.6 GHz, giving 8 physical cores and 16 threads via hyper-threading. It is built for engineers and designers who run certified AutoCAD workloads on Windows 11 Pro. The 1400 W power supply supports the dual-CPU configuration and the AMD Radeon Pro WX 7100 8 GB GDDR5 graphics card.
The system arrives assembled; the 250 GB NVMe M.2 SSD is already mounted on its PCIe adapter card. Memory uses DDR4-2666 ECC modules across 24 DIMM slots, so any future upgrades must match that exact specification. The DVD±RW drive occupies a standard 5.25-inch bay. No operating-system installation is required.
The board supports a maximum of 1536 GB of DDR4-2666 ECC memory with both CPUs installed, so this unit is already at the architectural ceiling. Buyers who need more RAM cannot expand this chassis further. The single 250 GB NVMe drive also means users requiring large local datasets must add secondary storage themselves.
