Front Trim Bezel for Precision M6500

This genuine Dell front trim bezel fits the 17-inch Precision M6500 chassis and includes the integrated web camera port window. It is intended for owners who need to replace a cracked or missing bezel on a unit that originally shipped with a camera. The part number MHP2W confirms the exact match for camera-equipped models.

Behaviour under sustained use

The plastic moulding retains its mounting tabs and hinge cut-outs through repeated opening and closing cycles. It does not contain any moving parts or electronics, so there is no performance degradation over time. The camera window remains clear and aligned as long as the bezel is undamaged.

Replaces damaged or lost bezels

This part directly substitutes the original factory bezel on camera-equipped Precision M6500 laptops. The upgrade is worthwhile when the existing bezel is broken, the camera window is scratched, or mounting clips have snapped off. It is not for systems that left the factory without a web camera.

Questions about this item

Does the 17" bezel add any noise or heat when the M6500 runs all day?

No — the bezel is a passive plastic cover with a camera window, so it produces no noise, draws no power and adds no heat.

What must I already own for this MHP2W bezel to fit?

A Dell Precision M6500 17" chassis that originally shipped with a webcam, plus the LCD panel, hinges and screws from that system.

Will this bezel work on an older Precision 17" model I still have?

Only if that older model is also a Precision M6500 with a webcam; other 17" Precision units use different bezel part numbers.
