Precision T5820 workstation core

The Dell Precision T5820 is a mid-tower workstation built around an Intel Xeon W-2225 processor running at 4.1 GHz with a 4.6 GHz turbo frequency across four cores. It ships with 128 GB of DDR4 2666 MHz registered ECC memory populated across four 32 GB modules in an eight-slot configuration. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and digitally activated for immediate professional use.

Storage and graphics bundle

A Dell Ultra-Speed Drive Duo adapter carries a single 2 TB M.2 NVMe solid-state drive for fast boot and project access. The Nvidia Quadro P4000 adds 8 GB of GDDR5 memory on a 256-bit bus and provides four DisplayPort outputs for multi-monitor setups. The 950 W 80 Plus Gold power supply delivers 90 percent efficiency to support the configured components.

Suited for certified ISV workloads

This configuration suits engineers and designers running certified ISV applications that benefit from ECC memory and professional graphics drivers. Buyers who need more than 2 TB of internal solid-state storage or who require a higher core count for parallel rendering should look at alternative configurations. The eight memory slots allow expansion up to 256 GB when workloads grow.

Questions about this item

How many memory slots remain free for future ECC DDR4 upgrades?

Four of the eight DDR4 slots are occupied by the 4×32 GB kit, leaving four slots open for expansion up to the 256 GB maximum.

Which component reaches its thermal or power ceiling first during prolonged heavy workloads?

The 950 W 80 Plus Gold power supply sets the sustained power ceiling for the Xeon W-2225 and Quadro P4000 combined.

What is the typical power draw at the wall when the workstation runs flat-out all day?

Under full load the Xeon W-2225 and Quadro P4000 can draw close to the 950 W supply rating, so expect near-rated consumption.
