Precision T5820 Xeon workstation

This Dell Precision T5820 tower is a new business workstation built around an Intel Xeon W-2125 four-core processor with a 4.5 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 256 GB of DDR4 2666 registered ECC memory and a 1 TB NVMe SSD. The Nvidia Quadro P600 graphics card provides four DisplayPort outputs. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and digitally activated.

Compatibility checklist

Verify that your workflow benefits from ECC memory and a workstation-class GPU driver stack. The LGA 2066 socket and eight DIMM slots are already populated to the 256 GB maximum, so no further memory expansion is possible. Ensure your displays use DisplayPort connectors or appropriate adapters. The 950 W 80 Plus Gold power supply supports the installed components.

Upgrade perspective

This system replaces an older workstation that lacks ECC memory, NVMe storage or certified professional graphics drivers. The jump is worth it when applications require registered memory for data integrity or ISV-certified Quadro drivers for stability. It is not for buyers who need internal drive bays for additional hard drives or a higher-tier GPU for intensive 3D rendering.

Questions about this item

Does the workstation ship with a monitor, keyboard or mouse, or must they be purchased separately?

The unit is sold as a tower only; no monitor, keyboard or mouse are included and each must be bought separately.

Is the 256 GB memory the maximum the board can take, or can it be expanded later?

The motherboard has eight DDR4 slots and the 256 GB installed — eight 32 GB registered ECC modules — already reaches the 256 GB limit, so no further expansion is possible.

Will the Quadro P600 with its 2 GB GDDR5 drive four 4 K displays at once?

The card provides four DisplayPort outputs and supports up to four 4 K monitors simultaneously for multi-display workloads.
