Dual Xeon workstation for professional workloads

The Precision T7820 pairs two Xeon Silver 4110 processors at 2.1 GHz with 32 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory. Eight cores per CPU and 12 memory slots provide a stable platform for CAD, rendering, engineering and data-intensive applications. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed for immediate deployment.

Quadro P2000 and 512 GB SATA SSD included

The NVIDIA Quadro P2000 GPU drives professional visual tasks such as CAD, content creation and multi-display configurations. A 512 GB SATA SSD delivers fast access to operating system, applications and active project files without mechanical latency.

LGA 3647 socket and DDR4 ECC constraints

Each processor uses the LGA 3647 interface and supports registered ECC DDR4 modules only; unbuffered or non-ECC memory will not function. The board offers 12 DIMM slots with a maximum of two physical CPUs, so expansion beyond the installed pair is not possible.

Questions about this item

What type of memory modules will I need when the 12 DDR4 ECC registered slots need more capacity?

The workstation uses DDR4 ECC registered memory; all 12 slots accept that type, so any upgrade must match DDR4 ECC registered specification.

Which component reaches its thermal ceiling first when both Xeon Silver 4110 CPUs run at 2.1 GHz continuously?

The dual Xeon Silver 4110 processors share the system thermal budget; under sustained full-core load the CPU package temperature typically hits the platform limit before the Quadro P2000 or memory do.

How loud are the fans and how much power does the tower draw during an all-day rendering session?

The Precision 7820 tower ramps its fans to keep the two 8-core Xeons and Quadro P2000 cool, producing noticeable airflow noise while drawing several hundred watts from the wall.
